Gold Shovel Standard Certification
We are proud to announce that in April, 2020, Ruff Restoration & Excavation earned an impressive safety status: the GOLD SHOVEL STANDARD (GSS) CERTIFICATION.
GSS is a nonprofit organization committed to improving workforce and public safety while maintaining the integrity of underground infrastructure. The certification is a third-party evaluation that affirms Ruff Restoration & Excavation's Safety policies and procedures are specifically designed for damage prevention.
As part of the program, we are committed to annual training of every employee on the topics of Utility Damage Prevention, Safe Excavation Procedures and OSHA/MiOSHA Standards. Each employee must pass a training quiz on each of the topics with a score of 80% or better. Furthermore, we agree to track, analyze and measure damage prevention performance and, on a monthly basis, submit standard metrics to the Gold Shovel organization.
The management of Ruff Restoration & Excavation is committed to the personal safety and health of each employee as well as to damage prevention in the workplace.
